NASA Policy Directive
NASA Policy Directive 8730.5 is NASA's Quality Assurance Program Policy. If you are planning on executing your mission with the assistance of NASA, it is imperative that you follow the guidelines outlined in this directive. The link to the directive is provided below. Pay close attention to the first two pages, as you will notice many items mentioned in the Directive align closely with the Risk Management techniques outlined in this course.

In addition, NASA has a specific handbook for risk management, which can be accessed here: NASA Risk Management Handbook, and a NASA Procedural Requirements document NPR 8000.4A. Even if your project will not involve NASA directly, it is a good idea to adopt their policies and procedures for your project, as they have been tried and tested in many major aerospace projects.
More information concerning NASA's risk management policies and best-practices can be found on the NASA OSMA website for risk management.
