Inspection Control - Focus on Stamp Warranty

Prerequisites

  • None

Course Outcomes

After completing this course, the student should be familiar with the basics and importance of the stamp warranty inspection control. The student should completely understand the procedures required for implementing and maintaining an inspection control program with a stamp warranty focus.

Why Learn about Stamp Warranty?

Aerospace projects consist of complex systems of interdependent components. To ensure that the entire system works properly, it is of utmost importance that all of its components are functional and integrated seamlessly. To guarantee this, it is necessary that the system and its components be inspected at different points throughout the project life. Inspection control and the uses of stamps allows you to keep track of the inspections that different components of the system have undergone.  While this course describes the methods used by NASA, for academic payload projects you could adopt simpler versions of the inspection control procedures.  The main purpose of proof of inspection is still valid for your project.
