Frequently Asked Questions
NASA must contract to produce, and continually improve, safe, reliable products that meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements. The globalization of the aerospace industry, and the resulting diversity of regional and national requirements and expectations have complicated this objective. Aerospace organizations face the challenge of integrating and assuring the quality of products purchased from suppliers throughout the world and at all levels within the supply chain.
The implementation of a thorough, disciplined risk based approach to quality is fundamental to mission success and safety. As the nation's leading organization for research and development in aeronautics and space, NASA has unique tools, capability, experiences, and perspectives that can benefit these organizations in the work that they perform. The Academy of Aerospace Quality is intended to combine academic curricula with hands on mentoring (by subject area) to enhance knowledge and understanding at the university level of aerospace quality disciplines. AAQ utilizes NASA quality information with hands on real world examples to help universities understand and teach the unique quality needs of space flight. AAQ helps academia develop the tools needed to further explore Earth, the moon, and Mars.
If you're not using categorized FAQs, then it's fairly simple to get a working FAQ page.
Create some FAQ nodes at "Create content >> FAQ" and ensure they are published.
Ensure users have the correct permissions to see FAQ nodes at "Administration >> Users >> Permissions"
The FAQs should appear on the FAQ page "/faq"
You can change the layout of the FAQ page at admin/settings/faq/questions
If you're using categorized faq nodes, then it's slightly more complicated. In addition to the steps above you must also:
Create a new taxonomy vocabulary at "Administration >> Content Management >> Taxonomy" and ensure it is enabled for FAQ node types.
For each FAQ node, you must associate it with at least one term from your new vocabulary. You can do this on each edit node page.
Enable categorization of the FAQ nodes and choose a layout at admin/settings/faq/categories
More details on the individual FAQ settings can be found here.
If you're using additional access control modules, such as Taxonomy Access Control or Node Access, then there may be additional permissions you need to assign to the various nodes.
